Great Area Attractions

  • Killington Mountain Ski Area
    Killington is Vermont’s Largest Ski Resort. Killington offers six mountain skiing for one ticket price. Follow the link to check it out. After a great day of skiing come visit us at the Peavine for a satisfying dinner.
  • Pico Ski Area
    Pico Mountain is one of Vermont’s first ski resorts. Pico has produced some great Olympic skier including Suzy Chaffee. Opening on Thanksgiving Day in 1937, its lift powered by an automobile engine.
  • VINS Raptor Center
    The Vermont Institute of Natural Science Center in Quechee provides interesting tours. Witness live raptors and birds of prey.
  • Green Mountain National Golf Course
    The Green Mountain National Golf Course is an award-winning Vermont Golf Course. It is the premier golf outing in Vermont. Beautiful views are plentiful and wildlife is almost expected. It is approximately 15 minutes from the Peavine Restaurant.
  • Billings Farm and Museum
    Billings Farm & Museum is a living museum of Vermont's rural past, as well as a working dairy farm. Approximately 30 minutes from the Peavine south on Route 12 to Woodstock. Downtown Woodstock offers some unique stores and shopping.
  • Downtown Rutland
    The recently restored Paramount Theatre features live entertainment and Downtown Rutland offers shopping venues.
  • Quechee Gorge State Park

  • Silver Lake State Park & Campground
    Silver Lake supports a good fishery of northern pike, perch, bass and other warm-water species. During the winter months, when the park is closed, the lake is a popular spot for ice skating and ice fishing.
  • Vermont Back Road Tours
    Travel the back roads of Vermont's Green Mountains. Choose one of their scenic tours or customize your own. The tours generally last about 2 hours. Tours can adjust to fit the groups needs.
