Dixie was a featured vocalist in many DC bands including “Catfish Hodge Band” and “Chicken Legs Review”. She has worked with such notable artists as Bonnie Raitt, Tracy Nelson, Danny Gatton and Eva Cassidy. She moved to Vermont in 1992 and works as a vocalist with her husband Ed and the band “Sensible Shoes”. Dixie’s vocal style is pop, jazz, blues and classic country. Ed also worked with various bands in DC. As an award-winning producer, he has worked for hundreds of artists including Sheryl Crow, Emmylou Harris, Wynton Marsalis, Diana Krull, Richard Thompson, Vince Gill, Linda Ronstadt and many others. Ed performs as an accompanist to many area musicians and specializes in Brazilian, jazz and classical styles.
